William G. Reeves, DDS
Periodontist
Born in Oklahoma City, Dr. Reeves graduated from Classen High School and attended Washington University in St. Louis, MO, where he met his future bride, Mary. After completing his undergraduate dental education, he attended UMKC College of Dentistry. He served in the US Navy, completing a general practice residency at Oak Knoll Naval Hospital in Oakland, CA, followed by a duty station on the USS Enterprise and USS Odgen as Dental Office. He then returned to Kansas City where he completed a residency in Periodontics.
After finishing his residency, Dr. Reeves returned to Oklahoma City where he joined an established periodontal practice, and he accepted a position as Clinical Assistant Peofessor of Periodontics at the recently opened OU College of Dentistry. In addition to his private practice, he has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the OU College of Dentistry and holds an appointment as an Associate Member of the Graduate College.
Dr. Reeves is a certified diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology and an elected Fellow of the International Team of Implantology. He has served as president of the Oklahoma Society of Periodontics and the Southwest Society of Periodontists. He is currently a Trustee serving on the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Periodontology. His professional memberships include the Oklahoma County Dental Association, Oklahoma Dental Association, American Dental Society, Southwest Society of Periodontics, American Academy of Periodontology, and International Team of Implantologists.
Dr. Reeves serves as a Director of a Spear Study Club and an ITI Dental Implant Study Club, both of which are committed to practicing interdisciplinary dental care at the highest level with peer restorative and orthodontic dentists in the OKC metro area. He has been active in trying to pass legislation that will help Oklahoma High School students develop the critical thinking skills necessary for success in our current world.
The doctor and his wife Mary have two children, Chris and Kerri, and 5 beautiful grandchildren. They are active at Crossings Community Church where he plays violin in the church orchestra. In addition, he has been a member of BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) for 24 years and has been a leader for the last 8 years.
